On route to Latvia and Sweden for our Outbound exchange we had a stopover in Moscow. We virtually soared over Russia seeing the most beautiful nature and architecture sights, communicating via google translate. We arrived in Latvia to such a warm welcome by Latvian Rotarians who were our wonderful hosts; it was like seeing your family again after a while. Well, we hit the ground running, there was a lot to see in a noticeably short period of time. We saw castles and museums, beaches and famous streets. We crossed a river by air cable tram and heard medieval love stories. We travelled by bus, boat, train and foot. We shopped until we dropped and ate to our hearts’ content. With many more friendships established, we left our friends with a positive message about South Africa and an invite for all to visit our District in the future.
